T'ai chi is a health exercise which can reduce the effects of age on balance, flexibility and maintain movement, limiting the affects of arthritis, parkinsons and other diseases. Taich is not a cure for any illnesses or diseases but helps us to live with our conditions as well as we can.
The mindful and meditative aspects can reduce stress and anxiety by allowing the mind to focus on the immediate - for instance following the breath as it goes in and out.
I am a registered instructor with the "Taichi and internal arts association" (formerly the Taichi union for Great Britain), since 1993.
